SOS Méditerranée is a European civil association, that brings together four associations in four different member states (Germany, France, Italy, and Switzerland). Founded in 2015, we are working to combat the ongoing migration crisis in the Mediterranean Sea and, in particular, the many shipwrecks it is causing. Independent of any political influence, we simply seek to ensure that human rights are respected, to fight discrimination, and for the dignity of anyone forced to leave their country of origin, whether for economic, humanitarian, political, or even geopolitical reasons.
